As you share your thoughts and feelings with me, at a pace that feels right for you, you will no longer be trying to manage alone. This is your journey through life, and only you can walk your path, but I have some experience of the terrain and some maps, and we can walk through the difficult parts together. I cannot do it for you, but I can do it with you.
I will not judge you, nor tell you what to do. Instead, I will support you respectfully as you find your own way, by listening and reflecting with you on what is said, giving you space to explore your thoughts and feelings about yourself and others. I will encourage you to explore situations that are causing you a problem and help you to focus on what exactly is holding you back. Together, we can find new ways of understanding, and a new way forward.
Counselling can help with a wide variety of problems, whether personal, relationship and family difficulties, work related issues or coming to terms with a change in circumstances. There may be a recent problem you want to focus on, or you may have long had a feeling that things are not quite right, and this is a good time to deal with them.
